Awkward. is an American television series and MTV‘s new comedy series which premiered on July 19, 2011.
Awkward. is a comedy-drama series that revolves around Jenna Hamilton (Ashley Rickards) in struggling with her identity, especially after a silly accident is misconstrued as a suicide attempt,overall Jenna’s life as told through her blog posts.
MTV will air 12 episodes of the half-hour series.
Plot
The series is based around social outcast Jenna Hamilton, who, following a silly accident that rumors misconstrue as a suicide attempt, starts being noticed by all the students at her school.[3] By taking changes and embracing her misfortune, she becomes well-known by her peers. While having to deal with a new, not-so-fun stigma, she still has to manage the daily drama that comes with being a teenager.

- Jillian Rose Reed as Tamara, Jenna’s best friend.
- Desi Lydic as Valerie Marks, a troubled lady who really has no business counseling anybody.
